Application of Diethyl Maleate:
1.Intermediate for agrochemicals (largest use)
2.Intermediate for surfactants,Reaction with sulfite gives sulfosuccinate esters,a family of mild anionic surfactants used in personal care products,industrial cleaners,emulsion polymerization,and wetting agents.
3.Comonomer in polymers,It imparts internal plasticization that flexibility,adhesion,and resistance to water and alkali to the material. Since it hardly undergoes homopolymerization,so it is always used in conjunction with another monomer.
